Alignment Dashboard

TAS alignment planning sandbox. Uploaded CIFs are processed in memory and never stored. Planning evidence only; not an approved instrument operation.

Upload a CIF, choose a scattering plane, and review suggested alignment peaks against the Brillouin-zone section and sample-environment powder rings. Neutron nuclear F² is calculated through the configured GSAS-II runtime; without it this page fails closed. All output is planning evidence requiring instrument-scientist review.

Vector Tools

Reciprocal-space angles and in-plane orthogonals from the icp-lattice-calculator metric; equivalents from GSAS-II. Uses the uploaded CIF and the plane above.

Angle between vectors (any HKL, not plane-constrained), the in-plane orthogonal of vector 1, and symmetry equivalents appear here.

Scattering Plane: Brillouin Zone, Peaks, Powder Rings

Scroll or drag to pan; pinch or ctrl+scroll to zoom; double-click to reset; hover any marker for its label. Marker size and color scale with relative F²; open circles are Friedel mates. Blue polygons are Brillouin-zone sections repeated at in-plane reciprocal-lattice points (central zone shaded). Purple arrows are the a*/b*/c* directions projected into the plane (dashed when out of plane). Dashed circles are powder rings: Aluminum gray, Copper orange. Axes are the orthonormal scattering-plane basis in Å⁻¹.
